Super Robot Wars Original Generations 2’s EX-Hard mode might seem like a daunting challenge to some after playing the game normally. You see, for the first time in recent memory, or ever if I’m not mistaken, the game forces you to play without upgrades at all (pilots or robots) of any kind, all while the enemies get various buffs and upgrades themselves.
But Matthew Emirzian of TBS Tactics is not new to this – he’s been playing Super Robot Wars games for years now, attempting to finish each one in the least number of turns as possible, all whilst playing a self-imposed ban on upgrades.
And as you’d imagine, he’s right at home in Original Generations 2’s EX-Hard mode, where the game is finally playing by his rules. Watch as he squeezes every last drop of efficiency from his units as he attempts to clear the game in as few turns as possible, while still obtaining all of the SR Points. I’ve been following his progress and have been using some of the helpful tips that he’s provided in the video descriptions on how to clear stages.
